I'm happy with that seeing a few of those miles were triple digits. 38.2 mpg ain't bad at all.

The more I ride this bike the more I love it. It is so smooth and responsive.

The mileage will get better after break in and also if you choose to put synthetic in it.

I have over 3400 miles on mine and it consistently gets 40+ mpg now. I ride it fairly fast and mildly aggressive so I am pleased with the fuel economy. Now if I could just get my Silverado 4x4 to get half those mpg, I would be ecstatic.

Glad to hear the great mileage so far. You have my Spyder beat at average 30 mpg.

I'm not so much concerned about mileage as much as I'm happy to own a bike that will go over 200 miles on a tank!

The 200 mile range on the tank is also a great asset. Lots of bikes need gas at the 125 - 150 mile range. That can be a pain when on a long trip--unless you like to do a stretch break every 100 miles or so.

It has been years since I owned a motorcycle that would NOT go over two hundred miles on a tank. I guess I have just been spoiled. Even my bored, high performance heads and cams Harley's got over forty miles per gallon with the five gallon tank.

Lamonster I saw your picture with Dale from Wheels Through Time. Great place isn't it?

My Echo gets 43, but it's not bigger nor more powerful than an old GL1500.
