I went back to my local honda shop this morning to return the bracket hardware they mistakenly sold me with the rear rack and they had #15 & 52 on the floor

It uses the same hardware on the deluxe because of the passenger backrest.

Yea maybe, but part of the "cool" look is the stubby windshield. Pretty much all my bikes never had a windshield. I do like having it on the Spyder though.

One thing I thought is, if I had the taller windshield I could hear my stereo better. The wind seems to hit me from my neck on up. If I duck down I can hear to much better. I just tried it to see. I dont duck down when a good tune comes on or anything.

Although I didn't buy the bike to listen to the stereo but it would be nice to have on my daily commute
I enjoy riding motorcycles more than working on them, so I bought a Honda.

    Tall Windshield

I switched out the stubby shield for the tall windshield when I got home from work today. What a huge difference it makes blocking the wind.
It's definitely not as cool looking now, but it will be fine until Daytona Bikeweek! While taking the nose piece off to remove the shield, I ended
up dropping one of the flat washers down in the "black hole"! Not very happy with myself after that but did manage to recover it by using the
air compressor. Thank God for that!!! Sad part is I knew better and should have stuffed a rag in there before I started. Don't you just hate that?

Anyway, here is a picture of the tall windshield installed.

I can see where that would be nice for cross country trips. Nice to have options.

I was thinking the same thing. Please take a side shot. Any feedback on the wind with the higher shield?

    Thanks in advance.

    Tall shield comparison

I went for a very short ride last night with the taller shield and it does make a huge difference. I'm about 5'9 and sit eye level
with the top of the screen and noticed very little wind. For long trips it's a no brainer, but soon as warmer weather gets here
back on with the "stubby" for me. I can't wait to see what will be offered as for as windshields go for this bike.
